ARTISTS

JIMMY FORTUNE

Jimmy Fortune toured, sang and performed with the legendary Statler Brothers for 21 years. He joined them first as a temporary replacement for Lew DeWitt, after DeWitt heard him singing at a ski resort and recommended him. Following an audition in Nashville, Jimmy was contacted by the Statler Brothers and performed his first show with them on January 28, 1982, in Savannah, Georgia. Due to the debilitating effects of Crohn’s Disease, Lew was unable to return to the stage with the Statlers, and Jimmy was hired as a permanent replacement in August of 1982.

THE MARTINS

The Martins—siblings Joyce, Jonathan, and Judy—rose to fame in the 1990s with their signature harmonies, performing everywhere from Bill Gaither’s Homecoming series to the White House and Carnegie Hall. They earned eight Dove Awards and a Grammy nomination before pausing in 2003 to pursue personal growth and individual careers.

Reuniting in 2010, they released New Day in 2011 and returned to touring. In 2014, their first a cappella album in nearly two decades earned another Grammy nomination. Their 2018 release, Still Standing, produced by Gordon Mote, reaffirmed their vocal excellence and faith-centered message. Today, they continue to tour extensively, sharing their music and message worldwide.

Fortune quickly lived up to his name. He wrote the group’s second No. 1 hit, “Elizabeth,” on their 1983 album Today, and followed that with two more No. 1 hits–“My Only Love” (from 1984’s Atlanta Blue) and “Too Much On My Heart” (from 1985’s Pardners in Rhyme). Fortune also wrote the top-10 hit “Forever” from 1986’s Four for the Show and co-wrote the top-10 hit “More Than a Name on the Wall” from 1988’s The Greatest Hits.

Jimmy has performed in all of the U.S. States, in Canadian Provinces, and in front of audiences as large as 100,000. He was part of the Statlers’ annual Happy Birthday USA celebration in Staunton, Virginia, for 14 years. He also sang on many of the Statlers’ gold, platinum, and double platinum recordings. Jimmy’s career included The Nashville Network’s popular “The Statler Brothers Show” which aired for seven seasons and debuted in 1991 as the highest rated show for the network. Jimmy was privileged to perform at the White House on two occasions, once for President Ronald Reagan, and once for President George H. W. Bush. He also presented a special gift to actress Elizabeth Taylor by singing his song “Elizabeth” to her for a birthday celebration.

Jimmy and The Statler Brothers were inducted into the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Hall of Fame on October 29, 2007, and inducted into the CMA (Country Music Association) Hall of Fame on June 29, 2008. Jimmy, as a solo artist, was inducted into the Virginia Musical Hall of Fame in 2018.

After The Statler Brothers retired on October 26, 2002, Jimmy seized the opportunity to launch a solo career to share new music with his fans.  His first solo CD, When One Door Closes, was released August 2003 on Audium/Koch. He released a gospel album, I Believe, in June 2005, a Christmas CD, Feels Like Christmas, in 2006, a live concert DVD in 2007 a country CD, “Windows” in 2009, “Lessons” in 2012, and “Hits and Hymns” CD and DVD through Gaither Music Group in 2015 which debuted at #10 Billboard Country Album, #1 Southern Gospel, and #6 Billboard Contemporary Christian. The DVD debuted at #1 on Billboard Music Video charts.  In 2017 he recorded a compilation of his favorite songs called “Jimmy Fortune Sings The Classics” on the Gaither Music label. Jimmy is currently living in Nashville, writing, touring, and recording a new project for Gaither Music called “God and Country” set to be released in May of 2019.

THE MARTINS

Siblings, Joyce, Jonathan and Judy, collectively known as The Martins, have enjoyed countless radio hits and performances at concert halls, arenas, auditoriums and churches worldwide. During the 1990s, The Martins rose to national and international success, showcasing their stunning and distinctive harmonies before a vast array of audiences, from legendary singer/ songwriter Bill Gaither’s multi-award winning Homecoming Video and Concert Series to the White House to Carnegie Hall. Over the years the Trio garnered eight Dove Awards from the Gospel Music Association, as well as a prestigious Grammy nomination.

In 2003, the siblings chose to take different paths. “We needed that time off to recharge our batteries on all levels,” Joyce explains. “That was a very important time for each of us. We needed to grow individually, both in our spiritual lives, as well as in our personal lives.”

After nearly a decade of pursuing individual music careers, the three reunited in 2010, and today their precedent-setting musical influence is as strong as ever. In 2011, they released their first new recording together in 10 years. New Day, distributed by Gaither Music Group, was produced by Jay DeMarcus (Rascal Flatts), and features the trio’s unmatched family harmony. In support of the release, The Martins returned to touring and found the welcome arms of audiences who have been embracing their music for decades. “Once we got back on stage,” Joyce shares, “something just clicked and felt right, so we thought, ‘If God, in His graciousness, was willing to use us again as a trio, who are we to say that He shouldn’t?’.”

In 2013, the Martins returned to the studio with four renowned arrangers, Lari Goss, Michael English, Matthew Holt and David Phelps, to record The Martins A Cappella. The recording marks the first a cappella release for trio since 1996 and features The Martins’ unmatched and unmistakable rich vocal abilities. Released in May of 2014, the recording garnered a Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album.

Most recently, The Martins returned to the recording studio to produce their latest recording. Still Standing, released July 2018, under the Gaither Music Group label and promises to offer even more success for the popular trio. This all-new recording finds the multi-Grammy nominated vocal group standing stronger than ever, showcasing their benchmark family blends and intricate arrangements produced by renowned producer Gordon Mote. These compositions, including the remake of their classic hit “Wherever You Are,” reflect the latest chapters in siblings Judy, Joyce and Jonathan’s journeys as they share messages of God’s goodness and providential hand at work in every season of our lives.

With a long list of tour dates and an exceptional new music, exciting and rewarding times most definitely await The Martins and audiences worldwide.
