PETRA
Petra is one of the most influential and pioneering bands in Christian rock history. Formed in 1972 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, they boldly introduced full-on rock, electric guitars, and arena-sized energy into Christian music at a time when it was highly controversial. Over more than four decades, Petra released over 20 studio albums, earned four Grammy Awards and numerous Dove Awards, and was inducted into both the Gospel Music Hall of Fame and the Christian Music Hall of Fame. Their willingness to push musical boundaries opened the door for countless Christian rock and metal bands that followed, including Stryper, Guardian, Whitecross, and even later acts like Disciple and Skillet.
The band went through several lineup changes but is best known for the contributions of founding guitarist and primary songwriter Bob Hartman, along with vocalists Greg X. Volz and John Schlitt. Classic albums such as More Power to Ya, This Means War!, and the landmark Beyond Belief helped define the Christian rock sound of the ’80s and ’90s. With their blend of big guitar riffs, memorable hooks, and strong lyrical messages, Petra became a global force, selling millions of records and performing for packed arenas. Their legacy continues today, widely regarded as the band that legitimized rock music within Christian circles and set the stage for the entire Christian hard rock movement.

CPR Classic Petra
CPR Classic Petra (Classic Petra Resurrection) formed by original Petra members, primarily Greg X. Volz (lead vocals), John Lawry (keyboards), and Louie Weaver (drums), performs classic Petra hits from the 70s and 80s, bringing their beloved spiritual rock music to fans with renewed energy and updated recordings, keeping the legacy alive.

GHF (Petra)
GHF—short for God Has Forgiven—is a Christian rock ministry formed by three founding members of the four-time Grammy Award–winning band Petra: guitarist Gregory Hough, bassist John DeGroff, and drummer Bill Glover. All three are inductees of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, and they are joined by keyboardist Pastor John Moser. Together, GHF delivers energetic live performances rooted in classic Christian rock, blending powerful musicianship with a clear message of faith, hope, and redemption. Their mission is simple: to share Jesus and build Christian community through music—“We rock for The ROCK.”

SACRED WARRIOR
Sacred Warrior is a Christian band that plays melodic, progressive hard rock/metal.
Their debut album, Rebellion, was released in 1988. The album was rated KKKK 1/2 by Dave Reynolds of Kerrang! the same year. Later that year, their sophomore album, Master’s Command, was released. It featured guest vocals from Vengeance Rising front man Roger Martinez. In 1990 their third album, Wicked Generation, was released and considered a partial concept album about a young person struggling with life seeking hope. Their fourth album was 1991’s, Obsessions, a more straightforward melodic metal album.

ARSENAL
Arsenal was active in the late ’80s/early ’90s, known for their melodic sound, and powerful female vocals by Christine Steel. They were part of the vibrant Christian metal scene and are remembered as a significant band from that era.
Arsenal’s 2025 release of “Armored Choir and More” on Regency Records, features songs from their original 1990 album, Armored Choir, and includes new songs like “Missionary” and “Man Made Religion”.

DANIEL BAND
Daniel Band hails from Canada and were known as one of the early pioneers of Christian rock/hard rock. The band originated back in 1979 and got their start by playing along side other Christian rock bands in a local coffee house staged in the basement of their church.
In 2011, this Canadian Christian metal group was awarded the GMA Canada Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing their pioneering influence on Christian rock.

DAVID AND THE GIANTS
David and the Giants is a pioneering Christian rock band that originally formed in 1963 in Laurel, Mississippi, led by the Huff brothers—David, Clayborn, and Rayborn. They began as a secular rock group and gained regional success in the 1960s and early ’70s before converting to Christianity in 1977, which reshaped their music toward faith-based themes and messages.
Following their conversion, the band became a significant force in contemporary Christian music throughout the 1980s and ’90s, releasing numerous albums that blended rock energy with spiritual lyrics. They toured extensively, ministering through their music and building a lasting legacy in Christian rock.
After a period of reduced activity, the original members reunited for live performances and new recordings, including recent releases and remastered classics, keeping their message and music alive for longtime fans and new listeners alike.

FEAR NOT
Fear Not is a melodic Christian metal band that formed in Los Angeles, California back in the early 90’s. Fear Not draws comparison to bands like Skid Row, Siloam, Guardian, and Slaughter.
In 1993, Fear Not released their debut full-length self-titled album on Pakaderm Records. Their debut release quickly captures the listener’s attention with its melodic 80’s Metal AOR sound, commercial hooks, powerful lead vocals, and spot on production. The band’s debut quickly garnered the group some needed exposure, allowing them to take their show on the road and even open for some well known acts like Bride, Guardian, Deliverance, and Barren Cross.

FURIOUS LOVE
Furious Love is the only classic Christian hard rock/metal tribute band in the continental U.S., based out of New Virginia, Iowa. Fronted by vocalist Randy Janee, a lifelong performer and singer/songwriter, the band brings powerful 80’s-style melodic rock with a message of hope. Randy has been singing professionally since 2014 and previously caught the attention of a Nashville label before ultimately choosing to pursue music ministry—leading her to Furious Love.
Guitarist Todd “XL” Stevens is a pioneer in Christian metal/rap, having toured with major acts like DC Talk, Newsboys, and The Crucified, and releasing groundbreaking work with XL and DBD. Keyboardist Rob Gaither has performed since the 1990s and shared stages with bands such as Stryper, Red, Disciple, and Kutless. Guitarist Ronnie Moore, a veteran of the Sunset Strip scene, brings decades of touring experience across the U.S. Bassist Brad Strickland, a U.S. Army veteran, has been active in Iowa’s rock, country, and worship scenes since the early 2000s. Drummer Dale Erickson, also an Army veteran, spent years promoting major Christian metal acts before forming Furious Love.
With soaring hooks, 80’s-inspired riffs, and an energetic live show reminiscent of Def Leppard, Whitesnake, AC/DC, Motley Crue, and Bon Jovi—Furious Love delivers a powerful rock experience centered on faith and redemption.

LES CARLSEN (Voice of Bloodgood)
Les Carlsen was formerly the lead singer of Christian rock band Bloodgood. Bloodgood was one of the earliest Christian heavy metal bands. They toured in the US under very difficult circumstances, blazing a trail that had not been traveled. They faced extreme opposition from both the world and the church, a story best told in the documentary film Trenches of Rock, produced and directed by Paul Michael Bloodgood. Les Carlsen will be performing his new originals and Bloodgood classics with a full band.
