PILLAR With Special Guests Sacred Warrior & Mick Blankenship [JUL 19]

Live Again After 9 Years!

After 9 years of no live performances, Pillar is back and better than ever! This show is only 1 of 3 total they will play in 2024. Pillar has become one of Christian rock’s most acclaimed groups. While, musically, they draw comparisons to such mainstream bands as Linkin Park, lyrically, the band isn’t shy about creating songs that spread the Gospel.

Pillar is comprised of Rob Beckley (vocals), Lester Estelle (drums), Noah Henson (guitar), and Kalel (bass). These Christian rockers with an alt-metal edge have been honing their infectious sound since 1998. With a Grammy Nomination and over 1 million career records sold, Pillar is a force to be reckoned with.

A deal with Flicker was inked in 2000 after the band’s self-released debut, Metamorphosis, impressed the label. Within months, Pillar followed things up with Above. Their first single, “Open Your Eyes”, was popular on the college charts, earning Above nearly 60,000 in sales. Pillar also earned the Best Rock Band award at the annual Dove Awards in 2001. A year later, Pillar relocated to Tulsa, OK, and released Fireproof. MCA picked up the band and reissued the energetic sophomore effort in 2003. Where Do We Go from Here appeared in mid-2004, featuring the single “Frontline”, which was RIAA Certified Gold. The Reckoning followed two years later in ’06., For The Love of the Game in 2008, Confessions in 2009 and then One Love Revolution in 2015.

This Christian band plays melodic, progressive hard rock/metal.

Their debut album, Rebellion, was released in 1988. Sacred Warrior supported its release on a tour with Resurrection Band in 1989. The album was rated KKKK 1/2 by Dave Reynolds of Kerrang! the same year. Later that year, their sophomore album, Master’s Command, was released. It featured guest vocals from Vengeance Rising frontman Roger Martinez. In 1990 their third album, Wicked Generation, was released and considered a partial concept album about a young person struggling with life seeking hope. Their fourth album was 1991’s, Obsessions, a more straightforward melodic metal album.

Hailing from Cincinnati, Ohio is the American Rock artist & multi-instrumentalist known as “Mick Blankenship.” Influenced by artists like Disturbed, Shinedown and Sevendust he is sure to please a large audience.

Mick teamed up with producer John Moyer (bassist of multi-platinum Metal band Disturbed) to record his first full length album titled Crown of Apathy in February of 2018. His first single “Transcend the Machine” received radio play in Europe as well as the US.
Mick teamed up again with Moyer in 2021 to record his second full length album titled Madness in Shadows and even features Moyer on the album as a co-writer. His single “Rule the World” made the Independent charts in 2022 at #10 as well as #1 on Boston Rock radio 4 weeks in a row!
