MATTHEW WARD
Matthew Ward is one of the voices that helped create contemporary Christian music. He is a singer, songwriter, and producer. He started his musical career in the 70’s when he and his two sisters formed the band 2nd Chapter of Acts, which also helped to establish the sound of Christian music as we know it today. He has released 9 solo albums, and 15 albums as part of the 2nd Chapter of Acts. Ward has recorded or performed with over 50 contemporary Christian artists, including Andrae Crouch, Annie Herring, Dennis Jernigan, Ron Kenoly, Twila Paris, Keith Green. Ward’s songs “To The King” and “I Will Worship You” reached the top of Christian music charts. In 1999 Ward was inducted into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame of the Gospel Music Association for his contributions to Christian music.
Ward has broken a bit into the secular scene as well, singing a duet with pop-diva Donna Summer and singing background vocals on her No. 1 hit “She Works Hard for the Money.” Matthew has also sang background vocals on Grammy-winning country artist Leann Rimes’ best-selling albums Blue and Sitting on Top of the World.

GARY CHAPMAN
Gary Chapman’s career as a Christian singer/songwriter spans more than 20 years. His musical talents show up in both his song-writing ability and ability as a performing artist. In 1979, his song “Father’s Eyes” was recorded as the title track to Christian artist Amy Grant’s (married to Chapman from 1982 to 1999) Grammy-nominated second album My Fathers Eyes. In 1982, his song “Finally,” recorded by T.G. Sheppard, reached No. 1 on country music charts. He also received a Dove Award as Songwriter of the Year from the Gospel Music Association in 1981.
His 1994 album, The Light Inside, earned Chapman a Grammy nomination for Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album, resulted in a Dove Award nomination for Male Vocalist of the Year, and yielded a CCM chart No. 1 song, “Sweet Glow of Mercy.” In 1996, Chapman won Male Vocalist of the Year at the GMA Dove Awards and his album, Shelter, delivered another No. 1, “One of Two.” At the 1998 Dove Awards, his album Hymns From The Ryman, won Country Album of the Year.
